Retro Stained lamps were first created in 1899 by Louis Comfort Tiffany. He came upon the idea of creating lamps with pieces of stained glass when he saw them as discarded pieces while a stained glass window was being made. The first stained lamp was made on a bronze stand and the pieces of stained glass were soldered together with the help of a copper foil.
