Eames Era Table Lamps
The use of the descriptive term Eames Era nowadays can refer to any item of furniture that was made between 1938 and 1970, which are the years that Charles Eames produced the bulk of his work. Very few pieces that are advertised with the Eames tag were actually designed by Eames, it can usually simply be a nod to the materials used in the manufacture or to the decade in which it was made.
When looking for an Eames Era table lamp you will essentially be searching for a retro table lamp. There is an overlap of around a decade at either end of the time scale but people often interchange the two terms at will.
Browsing through the listed Eames Era table lamps below you will notice that the items on offer are vastly different to one another with no real consistent pattern discernable. You can buy an inexpensive Eames Era table lamp from amongst those listed below.

Ray and Charles Eames were part of the pioneering modern style furniture movement, designing and creating innovative pieces using new technologies such as fibreglass and plastic resin. Charles Eames first came to prominence through his use of moulded plywood in the creation of his chairs. This then extended on to award winning furniture and architectural designs. Eames Era table lamps are often those types of lamps that have been made out of fiberglass, lucite or other technologies that were new to the mid-20th century.
